WOD: 2100 @ home

100 burpees


In the garage which was a perfect height for using the 6"-overhead-burpee-standard. Came out of the gate waaay too fast and suffered from it after #40.

Long day and it didn't really end on a good note whatsoever. The lady just made a delicious pork stir fry tho.

Guess what I just scored?!

One of these bad boys off of craigslist (unfortunately it's NOT the pink one). Less than a year old, $80 and only used indoors. Included was a funnel and a pretty nice OXO container filled with 30lbs of shot.

These kettlebells are pretty much amazing because they are:
  • near-regulation "russian" kettlebell size
  • big handled- will increase grip strength
  • adjustable - weighs about 8lbs empty but can go as heavy as 50lbs or so
  • because the weight inside is free moving, executing technique will teach the user if they are moving in the proper movement planes
  • it's shiny
  • it's AMERICAN MADE. fuck yeah.
Besides, it looks badass.

Sleep: 5.5 hours

WOD: 0830 @ Foundation CrossFit

This was HQ's WOD, but instead of the prescribed 185lbs I went lighter to make sure I don't hate strength conditioning again. Worked out with Sheena (9:49, 25kg) and we both could've went up in weight, but oh well. I'll try again later.
